East Med is rising, but only if we fix pricing clarity!
Sharing this fresh Cruise Trade News 2025 report and our key takeaways:
A) Most important highlight: People don’t see cruise value clearly. Only 26% think cruise is better value than a land holiday. Extra fees and unclear pricing are the blockers. Fix clarity, win bookings.
B) 5 passenger-trend takeaways:
1. Younger is real. Average age is falling; 32% of 18–34s plan to book in the next 6 months. 2. Destinations: Mediterranean (50%) leads, Caribbean (44%) close behind; Scandinavia (32%) is rising.
3. Land + Sea add-ons: 63% would add a land stay (and I would also add +Air). So... Package it!!
4. Keep it simple: 56% of new-to-cruise don’t understand cabin types. Ease of booking is the #1 ask.
5. Sustainability matters: Only 39% think cruise is “green”; younger guests want clear proof of action (... good luck with that!).
Younger travellers name the Greek Islands + Croatia as top Med picks. - Flex wins.
Guests want flexible itineraries and more time ashore, Lets design more late departures/overnights in Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, and Chania.
